HAND-CRAFTER’S INFORMATION

 

This application is for artisans who want to exhibit and sell their hand-crafted merchandise at the Re-Discover Kailua festival. Please read the following guidelines, then complete and submit the APPLICATION FORM.

 

QUALIFICATIONS Hand-Crafter’s must:

 

·         Be able to offer an array of high quality hand-crafted merchandise (made by the vendor) in amounts to meet demand over a two day period from 10am to 10pm on each day.

 

·         Feature a majority of items which are at least 51% made in Hawai’i and which meet the legal definition of “Made in Hawai’i” under HRS 485-119.

  

·         Provide a copy of its business General Excise Tax License

  

RULES Hand Crafters are required to:

 

·         Supply their own displays, storage containers, signage, cashier’s box and other tools and supplies

 

·         Keep their area and exhibits in a clean and orderly state throughout the two day event

 

·         Provide own printed signs and price lists. No hand printed signage unless such signage is a part of the artistic design of the crafter’s exhibit.

 

·         Provide enough labor to efficiently maintain the sales area and to conduct sales transactions for two days

 

·         Sign a Vendor contract agreeing to comply with the terms and conditions set forth by the Re-Discover Kailua organizers.

 

SELECTION CRITERIAFirst consideration given to hand-crafters who:

  • Work out of Kailua and/or offer unique, beautifully crafted Made in Hawai’i items
  • Have the capacity to offer enough merchandise to sell over a two day period according to the event rule
  • Provide photo samples or website address to view samples. Samples will not be returned.

 All applications are subject to review and approval.

 

VENDOR TENT PACKAGE $125 - INCLUDES:

  • One (1) 8' table in Hand-Crafters community tent
  • One (1) Vendor Parking Permit
  • One (1) 8’ tables
  • Two (2) chairs
  • Interior Lighting
  • Rubbish bins and liner
  • Additional tables by request @ $15.00 each 
  • See alternative venue arrangements below

 APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

 To apply for a table in the Hand-Crafters Hui please E-MAIL, MAIL OR FAX the following information to Re-Discover Kailua:

 

1. Your full name & name of your business

2. Your E-MAIL ADDRESS (important)

3.  Cell phone & evening phone

4.  Business address

5. A brief description of your products with sample photos or website address which provides images of your work

  (revised) APPLICATION DEADLINE AUG. 27TH 

$125 Payment IN FULL and REFUNDABLE $75 CLEANING DEPOSIT is due with application.  

Please make one (1) check for fees ($125) and one (1) check for refundable cleaning deposit ($75).

Make checks to: Kailua Mustangs. Include memo on each check - "Rediscover Kailua - Fees" and "Rediscover Kailua - Deposit".

  Individual tent spaces may be available subject to space availability. Individual tents will be allocated on a case by case basis and will require an additional fee of $125 - total price $250 (plus $75 refundable cleaning deposit).
