 MERCHANT HUI INFORMATION

This application is for businesses who want to advertise and promote their products and services to a family market. Acceptable activities include disseminating information, offering coupons, conducting demonstrations, giving out samples, prizes or advertising novelties. Food samples must be in small quanitities and are subject to pre-approval and may not conflict with Food Vendor menus. Business who wish to sell food or Made-In-Hawaii hand-crafts must apply separately as a Food or Craft vendor. Please print out this form, then submit the requested information via e-mail, fax, mail or deliver in person to the address listed below.

QUALIFICATIONS – Businesses must:

·         Be a licensed sole-proprietorship, LLC or other incorporated entity registered in the State of Hawai'i to do business.

·         Offer products or services targeted to the family market

  ·         Provide a copy of its business General Excise Tax License

RULES – Businesses are required to:

·         Supply their own displays, storage containers, signage, and other tools and supplies

·         Keep their area and exhibits in a clean and orderly state throughout the two day event. Pick up rubbish in and about the area throughout the event.

·         Provide own printed signage. No hand-printed signage.

·         Provide enough labor to efficiently maintain its activities over a two day period.

·         Sign a Vendor contract agreeing to comply with the terms and conditions set forth by the Re-Discover Kailua organizers.

 SELECTION CRITERIA – First consideration given to organizations

• Individual entrepreneurs or other businesses serving the Kailua area, or who offer unique products and services
• whose target market is families (newborn to seniors)
• who want to increase market exposure

Businesses wishing to sell food, snacks or hand-crafts must apply as a food or craft vendor. All applications subject to review and approval.

MERCHANT HUI PACKAGE RATES BETWEEN $125 - $250 *- INCLUDES:

• One (1) 8' table under a shared Merchant's tent (trade-show style)
• One (1) 8’ table
• Two (2) chairs
• Interior Lighting 
• Rubbish bins and liners
• Additional tables by request @ $15.00 each
• *Merchant Hui venue design subject to modifications based on space and logistic needs of entire event. Individual 10x10 tent packages may be available at a rate of$250 each pending space availability. Please pay $125 to secure your table space. If individual tents become available we will notify you.
